Hello BRMS Parents & Guardians,

This year's Velocity Program will be run again by Jon Berliner and Gregory Martin. This is an all boys (5th-8th grade) BRMS program with a Social Skills Component, as well as fun filled activities.  We will meet from 2:45-4:15 for five sessions on Wednesdays--May 4, 11, 18, 25 and June 1. Our activities will look something like this;
  • May 4 at BRMS: Introduction to Program, Ice Breakers, Community Games, etc. Pick up 4:15pm
  • May 11 at BRMS: Archery (specialist, Katelyn Irwin), all equipment provided.
  • May 18 at BRMS: Bike Maintenance and Ride at Mills River (specialist, TBD).
  • May 25 at BRMS: Healthy Cooking Class (specialist, Chef Horner).
  • June 1:  "Get Air" Field Trip. Bus Trip to Facility & Velocity Party! We will be back to BRMS at 4:30 p.m...*All students receive a Velocity T-shirt!

Registration forms will now be online and must be completed by the student and/or family. Paper copies are available upon request. On the registration it says the cost is $60.00. I have negotiated w/ BCBS and the YMCA to provide this program for a reduced cost to BRMS at $40.00 per student. Here is the registration link.

The Final Yearbook Sale due before or on April 15. Cost: Now $30.00

Please make checks payable to BRMS and put in a sealed envelope with student’s name, CPR Teacher and yearbook order written on the front. Turn your envelopes in to Mrs. Border in the Guidance Office before or on Friday, April 15. You will receive a receipt for your order from Mrs. Border within a week.  If you don’t get your receipt, please contact her at diane.border@cesuvt.org to make sure your order has been placed.

Chittenden East Youth Football

Creating Future Leaders!  The Chittenden East Wolverines remind you that the fall football season signs-ups are in May and will be held at the Jericho Elementary School on Tuesday, May 17, from 6-8 p.m. and Camels Hump Middle School on Wednesday, May 18, from 6-8 p.m.  Kids from grades 2 through 8 are welcome to register and be a Wolverine for the 2016 season!  Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player with crazy skills WE WANT YOU!  CEYFA Football is run by friendly, USA Football Certified, skilled coaches to provide a fun and safe experience for everyone while providing an excellent environment for team building.

5th/6th Grade Student Party

5th and 6th Grade Students & Parents/Guardians

You’re invited to a 5th /6th grade Student Party sponsored by B.R.A.G.
Friday, April 15, 2016
2:45–4:30 p.m.

STUDENT COST:  There is a $5.00 admission which covers all costs including the SuperSounds DJ, dancing, games, activities, and food.  Please contact your teacher or Greg Martin if you need financial assistance.

PERMISSION:  Parents/Guardians must sign the slip below.  Students need to return the slip and money to Mrs. Border in the Guidance Center ASAP After April 13, students will need to see Mr. Hamilton for permission to attend.  If your child turns in a permission slip but is unable to attend the party (doesn’t feel well, changes his/her mind), please contact the school to let us know. Attendance is taken.

ACTIVITIES (all activities are included in the price of admission):
  • Music and dancing by SuperSounds!
  • Guessing Games!
  • Fun surprises!
  • Munchies and Treats!
  • Face Painting!

PARENTS/GUARDIAN INFORMATION:
  • Student Pick Up:  4:30 p.m. sharp!!!  All students will be dismissed at 4:30 p.m. through the front doors and may be picked up outside.  Prior to dismissal they will be in the cafĂ© & gym.
  • Volunteers:  There are many ways to help. The party is a lot of fun! We need help with games, set up, donating baked goods, overseeing the food table, and clean up.  We also need more chaperones!

*BRMS Spirit Week!!!*  
April 11-15


*Monday ~ Casual Clothes Day!  -- come to school in your “comfy” clothes... sweatpants, leisure suits, work out attire,  no pjs please!  

*Tuesday ~ Twin Day! --dress alike with a friend or 2 or 3...

*Wednesday ~ Dress Up Day!  -- wear some of your ‘best’...dresses, skirts, khakis, shirts with buttons, ties...

*Thursday ~ Each grade is assigned a different color to wear!  The grade with the highest percentage of participants will have ice cream at lunch on Friday!  (Thank you Mr. Hamilton!)
  • 8th Grade-- Black
  • 7th Grade-- Orange or Yellow
  • 6th Grade-- Brown
  • 5th Grade-- Tye Dye


*Friday ~ Show your *BRMS SPIRIT and wear as much RED and WHITE as  possible!
