Talent Development Institute 2016

The Talent Development Institute, a program of the Green Mountain Center for Gifted Education, is celebrating its 18th year of programming at Johnson State College. TDI is a summer camp/academic program for advanced and gifted students, from Vermont and beyond, who are entering grades 4-9.  For the first time, the Institute will be held for two weeks: June 19-25 and June 26-July 2 and participants may be involved for one or both weeks. This year's classes, which vary from Wizardry to the Challenge of Space to WTDI Radio to Improvisation and more, engage students and nurture their creativity and their love of learning. The Institute may be experienced as a commuter or as an overnight camper.  The staff is a combination of experienced Vermont educators (some with Master's in educating the gifted), experts in their fields, and Institute alumni.  Campers have a blast learning alongside other smart kids on a small college campus nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains. Returning campers and staff tell us that TDI week is one of the best weeks of their year!

Partial scholarships are available to families who need assistance.  The 2016 TDI Brochure, with more complete information and the complete list of classes, may now be found on our website at www.tdivermont.org
