Performance by Vermont Youth Dancers

Vermont Youth Dancers (VYD) will present Arabian Nights…Aladdin’s Last Wish at Mount Mansfield Union High School on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.  VYD follows Aladdin through the streets of Agrabah, as he hopes for a better life, and also Princess Jasmine, who longs to know what lies beyond the palace walls. Aladdin believes three wishes from the powerful Genie of the Lamp will bring him happiness, but the evil Jafar has other plans. VYD brings this time honored tale to life with exciting music, and a unique balance of electrifying hip-hop, and poignant lyrical choreography.

VYD is a community dance company of area elementary, middle and high school students. This year’s cast of 45 includes dozens of local talented dancers from Jericho, Colchester, Underhill, Huntington, Hinesburg, Essex, and Fletcher, in an exhilarating large scale production. Tickets are available online for $7 (vyd-aladdin.eventbrite.com).  Any unsold tickets will be available at the door for $8. Call 802-448-0893 for more information.
